Pauriis a unique hill station, sprawling at an altitude of 1814 mtr. and covering an area of 5 sq. km. Pauri remains snow – bound during winters. Pauri offer a breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Hathiparvat, Nilkanth, Kamling, Choukhamba, Sumeru Parvat, Kharchakund, Kedarnath, Bhigupanth, Gangotri Group, Bhagirathi valley, Bunderpunch which is really breathtaking during sunrise and sunset. Pauri is shaded by the Oak – Deodar and Pine forest.

KANDOLIYA MAHADEV TEMPLE:Surrounded with dense forests and towering peaks.
KYUNKALESHWAR MAHADEV TEMPLE: Ancient 8th century temple, dedicated to lord shiva.
TARA KUND: A picturesque spot amidst lofty mountain, small lake and an ancient temple.
NAG DEVTA TEMPLE: It is a 45min. trek from commissioner’s residence, located in dense pine and oak forest.
KHIRSU: Situated at a distance of 19 km from Pauri and at an altitude of 1700 mtr. Khirsu is one of the most unexplored destinations of Garhwal. Khirsu offers the wide range of Himalaya. Khirsu needs a different mindset and away from the hustle-bustle of city life is a place for nature lovers.
Surrounded by thick Oak, Pine and Deodar forest, Khirsu is so calm and noiseless that one can hear the sound of cracking leaves, under you feet. Khirsu is really a dream location within the Pine forest and Apple Orchards, with fragrant herbs and blooming flowers around. The ancient temple of Ghandiyal Devta is a major attraction in the area.
